XX was an exhibition of new works by contemporary female street and graffiti artists. The show consisted of works by a selection of emerging and established artists from around the globe. This was the first time that some of the artists had been exhibited in the UK. The exhibition ran alongside Saatchi’s major exhibition of contemporary art by female artists, Champagne Life. XX was designed to inspire future generations of women artists to bridge the gender gap in the male dominated street art world.

Especially in a genre so closely connected with an extremely fast pace and based on territory markings, constant travel and rejection of any expectations society might have, there still is a lot of space and opportunity for women artists, curators and creatives to take part in the conversation.

The artists featured in the exhibition included Aiko (Japan/USA), Alice Pasquini (Italy), Caratoes (Belgium/Hong Kong), Crajes (Spain), Elle (USA), Faith47 (South Africa), Handiedan (Netherlands), Hera (Germany), Hueman (USA), Lora Zombie (Russia), Madamoiselle Maurice (France), Marina Zumi (Argentina), Martha Cooper (USA), Mimi S (Germany), Miss Van (France), Olek (Poland), Sandra Chevrier (Canada), Vexta (Australia) and Zabou (France).
